Terrafix

Terrafix- A mud prevention and environment repair product

This product is designed to enable eco-friendly agriculture under extreme circumstances, but it also plays a vital role in environmental cleanup efforts, such as the recultivation of mining sites and the prevention of landslides in ecologically strained areas where pollution and erosion have made it difficult to overcome the challenges of sustainable industry, housing and agriculture.

Especially in areas plagued by torrential rainfalls, e.g. the Philippines, and a history of mining or other heavy industrial use, Terrafix easily provides the ground stabilization needed, even for ambitious projects.

Over the years, Terrafix has proven to be an extraordinarily successful soil stabilizing agent with excellent erosion prevention capabilities.

After its application, Terrafix reacts with atmospheric oxygen and forms a firm network of polymers impervious but permeable to water. All particles, such as sand, fertilizer, seeds and other materials are bound to the surface.

Terrafix ensures that germination and plant growth continues uninhibited.

Terrafix was developed and is being produced under strict quality requirements in Germany.

Terrafix is decomposed by atmospheric oxygen, warmth and sunlight (UV radiation) to environmentally harmless carbon dioxide and water.

Application area:

> waste tips

> steep slopes

> areas of dredged-up sand

> refuse dumps

> ash deposits

> coal and ore tips

> golf courses and landscaping

> recreation and sports grounds

> vegetation sustained by roofs

The use of Terrafix in hydroseeding is recommended if in the period between seeding and establishment of a dense cover of vegetation, embankments, escarpments and other soil structures have to be protected against the threat of erosion from severe rain and wind.

The required concentrations of Terrafix for an adequate stabilization depend on local conditions (soil structure and composition) as well as the nature of the hydroseeding project.

Dust emissions from industrial deposits, such as coal and ore hillsides, or rinse sand areas, constitute an environmental challenge that is especially noticable for those who work and live near such deposits.

In such scenarios, Terrafix can be used to fix the highest deposit layers, effectively preventing the emergence of dust.
